What is Semi-Permanent Make-Up?
Semi-Permanent Make-Up has many names:
Micropigmentation, Dermagraphic Art, Permanent Cosmetics or Intra-dermal Pigmentation
Semi-Permanent Make-Up is the art of implanting colour into your skin. It is putting the right colour in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialised state of the art instruments allow colour (pigment) to be placed into the layer of skin known as the dermis. When your procedure is completed, the colour will appear darker than the final result. This is because the colour is in BOTH the epidermis and the dermis. The colour in the top layer will flake off during the healing process. The implanted pigment will gradually fade with time, depending upon a persons age, colour implanted etc.
Semi-Permanent makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the colour is placed “in” your skin and not “on” your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you’re ready to kick up your heels and go out for a night-on-the-town, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.
