Skin Deep Confidence - Semi-Permanent Make-Up and Paramedical Tattooing
~Paramedical~

Scarring can have a dramatic and negative effect on anybody's confidence.  Once a scar has healed and a period of say, 12 months has passed, quite often the appearance of scars can be improved with the use of pigments and implanting colour into the skin.

Sometimes the action of micropigmentation can also help to stimulate the area and break down the scar tissue. This technique is known as Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation (M.C.A). This now tends to be the first choice treatment as it promotes self repair and re-colouration of the skin rather than adding colour. (The place that you implant colour into the skin will not tan if you expose this to the sun and therefore successful MCA treatment is a much better option).

Technicians who are specially trained to offer advanced micropigmentation are very sought after in the paramedical field as well as in the beauty industry.  They quite often work with leading plastic surgeons to correct scarring after surgery.

The most common medical treatment is the tattooing of areolas onto ladies who have under gone breast reconstruction. This usually also helps to disguise any scarring and improves the appearance and symmetry. Ladies who have endured recovery from this common cancer find that this corrective treatment gives them back some much needed dignity.  For most ladies it is the concluding accomplishment to a long and traumatic journey.

There is nothing more rewarding than to be able to restore someone’s confidence and self esteem after having suffered terrible trauma through either fire, road accident, breast cancer, vitiligo (loss of melanin in the skin) or sudden alopecia, which is a condition that causes partial or even total hair-loss.
